Welcome To The
MANCHESTER SPORTSMAN CLUB
CPL Information Page
The Manchester Sportsman Club is happy to instruct a Personal Protection In The Home class. This class complies with Michigan Public Act 372 of 1927, as amended By Public Act 381 of 2000, and specifically, MCL 28.425j(1)(a)(b)(c). In other words, it fulfills a persons education requirement for Michigans CPL law.
The class is either taught in two day or one day sessions. The instructor prefers the two-day class as it allows for a more relaxed pace and more thoroughly covers the appropriate topics. We occasionally run a one-day session when time or schedules are compressed. The class takes place at the Manchester Sportsman Club. See the Contact Page for a map. We are located in the village of Manchester, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA.
We do not have regularly scheduled classes, we prefer to run classes when we have a sufficient number of students. The minimum number of students is 7. Please contact Brad Krutch (734) 355-6356 for class date and times.
The cost of the class is $110 per non-member of the MSC. If you are a member of the MSC, your fee is $85. The cost covers access to a lawyer, books, handouts, range time, lunch, and possibly dinner or breakfast.
To sign up for a class, simply call Brad Krutch at (734) 355-6356 and submit a deposit. The deposit is $10 and is refundable if you cancel more than 2 weeks before the class. The $10 covers the cost of food in the event you do not show up for the class.
If you will be attending a class, you will need to bring the following:
-A handgun (preferably the one you will be carrying, leave it in the car)
-At least 100 rounds of ammo (DO NOT bring ammo into the class room, leave it in the car)
-Pencil and paper (should you want to take notes)
-Eye and Ear protection (mandatory at the range)
-Questions about the CPL law and personal protection in the home.
Thanks for your interest in the CPL Class at the Manchester Sportsman Club.
